Quincy City Council is on board to greenlight a plan to reopen Adams County, KHQA reported.
The council and the Adams County Board unanimously agreed the strategy should go to the governor’s office. All but one of the five Quincy Park Board members concurred with the plan. The one against it said the Park District shouldn’t vote on it, according to KHQA.
Still, Quincy Park Board Executive Director Rome Frericks said, according to KHQA, “As of today and going further, all staff, Westview, Art Keller, Marina, all facilities are operating under the executive order, so we are not bending any rules or anything.”
At the same time, there’s a discussion concerning the sale of Lenane Park, which is said to provide “a peaceful turnoff from Bonansinga Drive for picnics or other small informal gatherings,” according to the park district’s site.
Constituents could vote on that ordeal in November if approved by a four-fifths vote in July.
