City of Moses Lake issued the following announcement on Sept. 8.
Hotel/motel tax funds are available to help boost tourism in Moses Lake.
The City’s Lodging Tax Advisory Committee (LTAC) is seeking applications for tourism projects to attract guests to Moses Lake.
The City’s LTAC reviews funding applications and advises the City Council on how to use hotel/motel tax revenue. The funds can be used for activities, operations and expenditures designed to increase tourism.
Last year’s application awards are as follows: Moses Lake Spring Festival, City of Moses Lake tourism marketing and Visitor Center, Visit Washington and Manta Ray Aquatics.
Funded projects for 2019 were: Basin GYM Boosters, Moses Lake Spring Festival, Moses Lake Business Association, Moses Lake Museum & Art Center, City of Moses Lake’s Park and Recreation Department, Moses Lake Chamber of Commerce, Columbia Basin Allied Arts and Visit Washington.
The proposal deadline is Friday, Oct 2, 2020. Applications must be received or postmarked by 5 p.m. on Oct. 2.
