Twelve businesses received grants for the first-time applicants for the Working Washington Small Business Emergency funding program that was set up through the Adams County Development Council.
This was the second round of grants through the campaign. The Adams County Development Council, which gave out the first round of grants in April, had businesses submit applications online and then scored them with a five-person review committee.
“For this second round, top scores and first-time applicants were given priority funding,” Adams County Development Council Manager Janis Rountree told the Ritzville Adams County Journal.
First-time applicants each received a $5,000 grant. Those awarded a grant include Grill Skills Catering Company in Ling and King Mercantile Company in Ritzville.
Companies that received a $10,000 grant include Angle Iron Ranch in Ritzville, Iron Legacy Ranch in Ritzville, B's Rubs LLC in Othello, Conversation Coffee Roasters in Othello, GDJ Castro Trucking in Othello, Ironworks Cafe & Market in Othello, Jewel Logistics in Othello, K&T Nails in Othellow, RJ Trucking and Sanchez Transport in Othello.
