Ramon Reyna was arrested and booked into the Adams County Jail for suspicion of violating RCW 9.41.270 weapons apparently capable of producing bodily harm-unlawful carrying and handling section 1.
Reyna was inside a local hardware store in Othello, displaying a large machete he had apparently purchased somewhere else.
Reyna had removed the machete from its sheath and held it up in a way that was very alarming to staff and customers, due to Reyna’s behavior and the weapon he was wielding.
An off duty Sheriff witnessed the incident and contacted Deputies who responded.
Deputies located Reyna who was taken into custody away from the store.
Reyna was trespassed from the location as a result. Reyna was booked into the Adams County Jail.
We are grateful no one was hurt or injured during the incident.
