Congratulations to Sgt. Beau Lamens and Deputy Stormy Baughman for being chosen for the Employees of the Month of March. Sgt. Lamens and Deputy Baughman were nominated by their partner, Deputy Jose Rivera.
Both Sgt. Lamens and Deputy Baughman were recognized for their efforts in a pursuit/barricaded subject which resulted in the safe apprehension of the suspect.
Deputy Rivera said, "Sgt. Lamens immediately took charge of the scene as he arrived in the area. Lamens helped balance the chaos by coordinating locations for units and supervisors arriving, while also keeping MACC dispatch continuously updated. Sgt. Lamens bestowed confidence in deputies on scene allowing everyone to do their job to the fullest of their ability."
Deputy Rivera said of Baughman, "He began to build dialog with the suspect who had barricaded himself in his vehicle refusing to comply with orders. Deputy Baughman ultimately succeeded in developing a positive rapport with the suspect and persuaded him to surrender."
