Drones are becoming an increasingly common tool in the workplace, and employers are now looking for people with traditional industry skills who can also utilize drones. Learning to use this new tool can be beneficial to graduates in many industries, including agriculture, law enforcement, manufacturing, and construction.
In this video, former Big Bend student John Roos shares his experience in the UAS program and how hands-on learning with the latest tools helped prepare him for his current job.
"We were able to see the whole spectrum of what this industry is like, and I was able to take that directly and use it the next day," said John.
The Big Bend Community College UAS Program will prepare students for professional UAS remote pilot operations, UAS management, and remote sensing data collection and analysis. All academic offerings are designed to meet the needs of local, regional, and nationally growing industries!
