The City of Ritzville's contractor will be applying a slurry seal to Main Avenue on Wednesday, September 21st from 7:00am-6:00pm from Jackson Street to Palouse Street. For North and South bound traffic, Columbia Street will be open in the morning and Division Street will be open in the afternoon.
Applying slurry seal will preserve the street for 5-7 years. When first applied, slurry seal is wet and sticky. Vehicles, bicycles, pedestrians, children and pets must be kept off streets until slurry seal is dry and street is reopened. Any vehicles left on Main Avenue during that time will be towed at the owner's expense.
