Grant County Fire District #5 and clean-up crews continue to see hot spots on-site at the Wilbur Ellis fertilizer plant incident. A second excavator was brought on site today (11/2/2022) to assist with the movement of material to vent heat and extinguish potential flare-ups.
Contractors will continue to monitor air quality throughout the cleanup and excavation process. Grant County Health District continues to advise the public to stay away from the immediate site and avoid any areas where you can see or smell smoke.
