Hiding in Plain Sight Film Showing - Tuesday, Dec 20th from 6-8:00pm at the Moses Lake Civic Center.
This event is designed to raise awareness about youth mental health and substance misuse; starting with the showing of Hiding in Plain Sight, followed by a panel discussion, and audience Q&A.
The film presents an honest look into daily life with mental health challenges, from seemingly overwhelming obstacles to stories of hope and resilience. Through the experiences of these young people, the film tackles the issues of stigma, discrimination, awareness, and silence, and, in doing so, help advance a shift in the public perception of mental health.
Community resources and mental health support will be onsite, offering resources and information.
This event is brought to you by Grant County Suicide Prevention Taskforce in collaboration with the Northwest Accountable Partners of Health, the Moses Lake Community Coalition, and other community partners.
