Brass Plaque honoring fallen Deputy Sheriff Jon Melvin | Grant County Sheriff's Office
The Grant County Sheriff’s Office today unveiled the brass plaque honoring fallen Deputy Sheriff Jon Melvin. The plaque is attached to the Fallen Officers Memorial inside the Law and Justice Center in Ephrata. The brief ceremony was attended by members of Deputy Melvin's family and members of the Sheriff’s Office. Deputy Melvin, age 60, passed away on December 11, 2020, due to a COVID-related illness. He had served over 35 years in law enforcement. He was hired in May 1984 and spent most of his career as a Grant County Sheriff’s Deputy.
We all miss him very much.
