Grant County Deputies today evicted the occupants of a property east of Soap Lake. The property in the 20300 block of Road B.5-Northeast was sold at a public auction after the former property owner became delinquent in their payment of property taxes.
The property’s new owner submitted papers to the courts to have the occupants evicted. The court approved, and Deputies today carried out the court's order. Occupants were living inside a home and several hulk and derelict vehicles on the land.
The property had been the subject of scores of calls to the Sheriff’s Office including code violations and animal complaints. Some of its occupants had been suspected of area burglaries and thefts.
